Barrett Communications Supports Football Team in Sierra Leone

Recent involvement with the supply of Barrett equipment to IMATT (International Military Advisory and Training Team) in Sierra Leone has lead to an interesting story.

IMATT has been training local Sierra Leone forces for the past year. This training included the use of communications equipment, equipment provided by Barrett Communications. Under the supervision of Dave Alderson, IMATT has not only been training the local forces but is bringing together local communities by holding sporting events including boxing and soccer. The soccer team IMATT organised were very talented and were heading for the finals, so to help them on their way Barrett Communications offered to provide the team with a new strip. The Barrett team reached the finals but were unfortunately beaten by 2 to 1.
